3) Can a War Far Away Affect Us Here? A Look at India’s Growth and Rising Oil Prices
We all dream of a brighter future—for ourselves, for our families, and for our country. Right now, India seems to be on the right path. Prices are slowly becoming stable, people are spending more, and banks are making it easier to borrow money. Our economy is growing, and for once, it feels like things are moving in the right direction.
But just as we begin to feel hopeful, the world reminds us how fragile things can be. A serious conflict has broken out between Israel and Iran, and while it may feel far from our daily lives, the truth is—it can hit us hard, right here at home.
When the war started heating up in June, global oil prices shot up. India buys almost 80% of its oil from other countries, so any increase in global prices directly affects us. Think about it—when petrol prices go up, everything from food to transport becomes more expensive. For students, that means our daily commute costs more, our favorite snacks cost more, and even job opportunities can get fewer as companies struggle with rising costs.
The Reserve Bank of India is trying to help by reducing interest rates. It wants to encourage people to spend and invest more, which can boost the economy. And honestly, that’s a good step. But if oil prices keep rising due to the war, it could undo all that progress.
Experts say if the situation worsens—if, for example, Iran’s oil terminals are attacked or shipping routes are blocked—oil prices could reach $100 or even $120 per barrel. That’s a scary thought. Not just for economists, but for everyday people like us and our families.
I believe this is a reminder for young Indians. While we may not be able to stop global wars, we must understand how closely the world is connected. A war in West Asia can disturb our peace here. It affects businesses, jobs, and household budgets.
So what can we do?
First, stay informed. As students and future leaders, understanding these issues helps us prepare better for the world.
Second, let’s push for smarter energy policies—like investing in renewable energy so we’re not always dependent on imported oil.
And finally, let’s remember that peace isn’t just a nice idea. It’s something that keeps economies strong, families safe, and dreams alive.
Let’s hope for peace—but be smart enough to prepare for challenges.

4) World Environment Day
World Environment Day – A Call to Protect Our Planet
Introduction:
World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5th to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our environment. Established by the United Nations in 1972, this day encourages people around the world to take positive action towards preserving nature and promoting sustainability.
Theme of the Year:
Each year, World Environment Day has a different theme focusing on a specific environmental issue such as plastic pollution, biodiversity, climate change, or ecosystem restoration. These themes help highlight urgent environmental concerns and inspire action at both individual and global levels.
Why It Matters:
The environment provides us with everything we need to survive—clean air, water, food, and natural resources. However, human activities such as deforestation, pollution, and overconsumption are causing serious damage. Climate change, loss of biodiversity, and natural disasters are all consequences of our careless actions. World Environment Day serves as a reminder that we must live in harmony with nature and take steps to reduce our ecological footprint.
5) World Blood Donor Day
World Blood Donor Day – Celebrating the Gift of Life
Introduction:
World Blood Donor Day is observed every year on June 14th to raise awareness about the importance of safe blood donations and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gift. The day is celebrated around the world to highlight the need for regular blood donations and to ensure that all individuals and communities have access to safe blood whenever they need it.
The Importance of Blood Donation:
Blood is essential for human life. It is needed for surgeries, childbirth, accidents, cancer treatment, and for patients with chronic illnesses like thalassemia or anemia. Since blood cannot be manufactured, it must come from healthy donors. A single donation can save up to three lives, making every donor a real-life hero.
Theme of the Year:
Each year, World Blood Donor Day has a specific theme that emphasizes a particular aspect of blood donation. The theme serves to encourage more people to become regular donors and promote awareness of the ongoing need for blood.
Who Can Donate Blood?
Anyone who is healthy, usually between the ages of 18 and 65, and meets basic medical criteria can donate blood. It is a safe and simple process that takes about 30 minutes but can make a lifelong difference to someone in need.
Benefits of Blood Donation:
- Saves Lives: Helps patients in emergencies, surgeries, and serious medical conditions.
- Health Check-up: Donors get a mini health screening during donation.
- Improves Heart Health: Regular donation may help reduce harmful iron stores.
- Sense of Fulfillment: Donating blood is an act of kindness and community service.

7) Father’s Day
My Dad – My Model:
Every father is a good example for his children. First of all, I commend your love of work. He is always there to help his mates, even if it is not his job. In fact, we may find him spending hours helping others. After all, my father is just a man. He does not like expensive things and lives a simple, peaceful life. Otherwise he does not scold anyone. I wonder if something is wrong with her because she takes everything in order and gives herself time to decide.
My father – My Friend:
My father is also my friend. I can talk about everything with my dad, even those who have the courage to talk in front of my mom. I know he should keep it a secret and give me the advice I need. He is the one I can count on not to see whenever I need help, and I know he will help me.
Importance of Father in Family
Father plays a vital role in the development of the family. He is actually considered the head of the family. However, I feel that fathers and mothers have a special role to play in raising their children. Although a mother is gentle, the father shows courage and strength to his children, who will later take him seriously. It may be difficult at times, but be sure to always benefit the children.
My father as a Source of Inspiration
I can proudly say that it was my father who inspired me from day one. In other words, his attitude and personality influenced me as a person. In the same way, he still has a great influence on the environment around his narrow paths. Dad spends his free time caring for the lost animals, which encourages me to do the same. All my knowledge in sports or cars comes from my father.
